Allowing oneself to be free and present in the moment is undeniably a bridge to our past. The American Indians were a strong and spirited group of people. They exhibited an immense amount of pride and passion while performing their ritual dances. Thus far, this is sincerely one of my most celebrated works of art. Properly illustrating their power and beauty in my art was very important to me, and I wanted to accurately translate this superb expression of color. — David Alderman
